These Role Model Terms & Conditions (“Agreement”) govern your participation as a Role Model on the ChatYourCareer platform (“Platform”), operated by ChatYourCareer Ltd (“Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

By registering as a Role Model and accepting these Terms, you agree to be legally bound by this Agreement.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not register or participate as a Role Model.

1. Definitions

​

For the purposes of this Agreement:

“Role Model” refers to the professional providing one-to-one career insight conversations through the Platform.

“User” refers to any individual who books a call through the Platform.

“Platform” refers to the ChatYourCareer website, software, and related services.

“Services” refers to the career insight conversations delivered by Role Models.

“Content” includes video recordings, audio, transcripts, written responses, profile information, onboarding interviews, and any materials submitted or generated during participation on the Platform.

2. Eligibility

​

By registering as a Role Model you confirm that:

• You are at least 18 years old

• All information you provide is accurate and truthful

• You have the legal right to provide services in your country

• Your participation does not breach any employment contract or legal obligation

You agree to keep your profile information accurate and up to date.

3. Role Model Responsibilities

​

As a Role Model, you agree to:

• Provide honest, accurate, and good-faith insights about your profession and experience

• Maintain a professional and respectful tone

• Treat Users in a non-discriminatory and supportive manner

• Protect the privacy and confidentiality of Users

 

Role Models must not:

• Guarantee jobs, employment, or recruitment outcomes

• Provide immigration, visa, legal, medical, or financial advice

• Offer regulated services requiring professional licensing

• Harass, discriminate against, or behave inappropriately toward Users

• Request or accept payment outside the Platform

• Attempt to arrange off-platform sessions with Users

Violation of these rules may result in suspension or removal from the Platform.

4. Non-Circumvention

​

Role Models agree not to bypass the Platform by:

• requesting direct payment from Users

• arranging calls privately outside the Platform

• directing Users to external booking systems

This restriction applies during participation and for 12 months following the last interaction with a User introduced through the Platform.

 

5. Booking & Availability

​

Role Models must:

• Maintain accurate availability on the Platform

• Attend scheduled sessions punctually

• Provide at least 24 hours notice for cancellations

Repeated missed sessions or poor reliability may result in suspension or removal.

6. Payment & Revenue Share

​

Role Models receive 60% of the call fee for completed sessions.

ChatYourCareer retains 40% of the call fee to operate and maintain the Platform.

 

Additional terms:

• Payments are issued monthly

• Refunds issued to Users may result in payment adjustments

• Role Models are responsible for their own tax obligations

ChatYourCareer does not provide tax advice and is not responsible for Role Model tax liabilities.

7. Independent Contractor Status

​

Role Models participate as independent contractors.

Nothing in this Agreement creates:

• an employment relationship

• a partnership

• an agency relationship

 

Role Models are responsible for:

• their own equipment

• internet connection

• insurance

• taxes and regulatory obligations

 

8. Recording of All Calls

 

To maintain quality, improve the Platform, and develop educational resources, all calls conducted through ChatYourCareer may be recorded.

By agreeing to these Terms, you explicitly consent to the recording of all calls, including:

• video

• audio

• transcripts

• chat messages

• screen sharing (if applicable)

Recordings may include your:

• voice

• likeness

• name

• job title

• professional insights

If you do not consent to recording, you must not participate as a Role Model.

 

9. Use of Recordings for Content Creation

 

By agreeing to these Terms, you grant ChatYourCareer Ltd a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual licence to use recordings and excerpts from conversations for:

Educational Content

• career education resources

• training materials

• example conversations

• platform demonstrations

 

Marketing & Promotion

Recordings or excerpts may appear on:

• website content

• social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok)

• podcasts

• promotional videos

• advertising campaigns

• newsletters and articles

ChatYourCareer will use such content in good faith and consistent with the platform’s mission.

 

10. AI Training & Product Development

 

ChatYourCareer may use recordings and transcripts to:

• train artificial intelligence systems

• develop career guidance tools

• improve platform features

• analyse career insights

• improve matching algorithms

Data may be anonymised, aggregated, or transformed before use.

 

11. Intellectual Property

 

Role Models retain ownership of their personal experience and professional insights.

However, by participating on the Platform you grant ChatYourCareer a licence to:

• store and process Content

• reproduce and distribute Content

• create derivative works such as training datasets or educational materials

 

ChatYourCareer retains ownership of:

• the Platform

• software and technology

• AI models and algorithms

• analytical insights derived from Platform data

 

12. Confidentiality

 

Role Models must keep User information confidential.

You agree not to:

• record conversations independently

• share User personal information

• store User data outside the Platform

 

13. Data Protection

 

ChatYourCareer complies with:

• UK GDPR

• EU GDPR

• Data Protection Act 2018

We will:

• store data securely

• restrict access to authorised personnel

• never sell personal data

Role Models may request access to or deletion of their personal data where legally permitted.

 

14. Platform Availability

 

The Platform may experience interruptions due to:

• maintenance

• updates

• technical issues

• third-party service outages

ChatYourCareer does not guarantee uninterrupted access.

 

15. Limitation of Liability

 

ChatYourCareer is not liable for:

• decisions Users make based on conversations

• employment outcomes

• financial losses

• tax obligations of Role Models

• technical failures caused by third-party services

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company’s liability is limited to fees earned by the Role Model in the previous three months.

 

16. Indemnification

 

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ChatYourCareer against claims arising from:

• your breach of these Terms

• misleading or harmful statements

• misconduct during conversations

 

17. Termination

 

ChatYourCareer may suspend or terminate your account if:

• you violate these Terms

• you behave unprofessionally

• you receive repeated negative feedback

• you attempt to bypass the Platform

You may terminate your participation at any time.

Licences granted for existing recordings and content usage remain valid after termination.

 

18. Changes to Terms

 

ChatYourCareer may update these Terms from time to time.

Updated Terms will be published on the Platform.

Continued participation constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

 

19. Governing Law

 

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

 

20. Acceptance

 

By ticking the acceptance box during registration you confirm that:

✔ You consent to recording of all calls
✔ You consent to use of recordings for marketing and social media
✔ You consent to use of recordings for AI training and product development
✔ You understand you participate as an independent contractor
