These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the ChatYourCareer platform (“Platform”), operated by ChatYourCareer Ltd (“Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

By accessing the Platform, creating an account, booking a call, or using any services provided through ChatYourCareer, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Platform.

1. About ChatYourCareer

​

ChatYourCareer is a platform designed to help individuals explore careers through one-to-one video conversations with professionals (“Role Models”) who share insights about their work and career paths.

ChatYourCareer provides access to conversations and career insights only. The Platform does not provide professional advice, recruitment services, or job placement.

2. Definitions

​

For the purposes of these Terms:

“User” refers to any individual accessing the Platform or booking a call.

“Role Model” refers to professionals who provide career insight conversations through the Platform.

“Platform” refers to the ChatYourCareer website, applications, and services.

“Services” refers to the booking and delivery of career insight conversations and related features offered by the Platform.

“Content” refers to recordings, transcripts, text, audio, video, and materials generated through use of the Platform.

3. Eligibility

​

By using the Platform, you confirm that:

• You are at least 18 years old, or you have permission from a parent or guardian.

• The information you provide is accurate and truthful.

• Your use of the Platform complies with all applicable laws.

 

4. Nature of the Service

​

ChatYourCareer provides access to informational conversations only.

Role Models share personal experiences and opinions based on their careers.

ChatYourCareer and its Role Models do not provide:

• legal advice

• financial advice

• medical advice

• immigration or visa advice

• recruitment services

• employment guarantees

Any decisions made based on conversations are your sole responsibility.

 

5. Role Models Are Independent

Role Models are independent professionals, not employees or representatives of ChatYourCareer.

ChatYourCareer:

• does not control Role Model opinions or statements

• does not guarantee the accuracy of advice given

• does not verify all statements made during conversations

Users acknowledge that Role Model conversations represent personal experiences only.

6. Booking & Payments

​

Users may book calls with Role Models through the Platform.

Payment terms:

• Payment is required at the time of booking

• Prices may vary depending on the Role Model

• Payments are processed through third-party payment providers

ChatYourCareer reserves the right to adjust pricing or service fees at any time.

7. Cancellations & Refunds

​

Users may cancel a booking subject to the following conditions:

Cancellation more than 24 hours before the session

• Eligible for a full refund or rescheduling.

Cancellation less than 24 hours before the session

• Refund may not be available.

Missed sessions

• If a User fails to attend a scheduled session, refunds may not be issued.

 

If a Role Model fails to attend a session, ChatYourCareer may offer:

• a rescheduled session, or

• a full refund.

 

8. Recording of Calls

To improve the Platform and develop educational resources, calls conducted through ChatYourCareer may be recorded.

Recordings may include:

• video

• audio

• transcripts

• chat messages

By using the Platform and participating in calls, you consent to the recording of conversations.

If you do not consent to recording, you should not participate in calls through the Platform.

 

9. Use of Recordings & Content

​

Recordings and transcripts may be used by ChatYourCareer for:

• platform improvement

• educational resources

• training materials

• product demonstrations

• marketing and promotional materials

• social media content

• podcasts or video content

Where possible, personal data may be anonymised or edited before publication.

By using the Platform, you grant ChatYourCareer a worldwide, royalty-free licence to use recordings and excerpts for these purposes.

 

10. AI Training & Product Development

ChatYourCareer may use conversation transcripts and recordings to:

• train artificial intelligence models

• improve career guidance tools

• analyse career insights across industries

• develop platform features

Data used for these purposes may be anonymised, aggregated, or transformed.

11. Acceptable Use

​

Users agree to use the Platform respectfully.

You must not:

• harass or abuse Role Models

• request illegal or unethical advice

• record sessions independently without permission

• share Role Model personal information

• attempt to bypass the Platform to arrange off-platform sessions

• distribute or misuse recordings obtained through the Platform

Violation of these rules may result in account suspension or termination.

12. User Conduct During Calls

​

Users must behave professionally and respectfully during calls.

Users must not:

• harass, threaten, or discriminate against Role Models

• request personal contact information

• pressure Role Models for referrals or employment

• record or distribute calls without permission

ChatYourCareer reserves the right to terminate sessions or remove users who violate these standards.

13. Intellectual Property

​

The Platform, including its design, content, software, and AI systems, is owned by ChatYourCareer Ltd.

Users may not:

• copy or distribute platform materials

• reproduce platform features

• create derivative works from platform technology

Users retain ownership of personal information they provide but grant ChatYourCareer a licence to use such information for service delivery.

 

14. Data Protection & Privacy

ChatYourCareer complies with:

• UK GDPR

• EU GDPR

• Data Protection Act 2018

Personal data will be:

• stored securely

• processed only for providing the service

• never sold to third parties

Users may request access to or deletion of personal data in accordance with applicable laws.

 

15. Platform Availability

 

The Platform may occasionally be unavailable due to:

• maintenance

• technical updates

• third-party outages

ChatYourCareer does not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Platform.

 

16. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ChatYourCareer is not liable for:

• decisions made based on Role Model conversations

• career or education outcomes

• employment opportunities or lack thereof

• financial losses resulting from conversations

• technical failures caused by third-party services

ChatYourCareer’s total liability is limited to the amount paid for the relevant session.

17. Indemnification

​

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ChatYourCareer against claims arising from:

• your misuse of the Platform

• violation of these Terms

• inappropriate conduct toward Role Models.

 

18. Termination of Access

​

ChatYourCareer may suspend or terminate a User account if:

• these Terms are violated

• the Platform is misused

• abusive or harmful behaviour occurs

Users may stop using the Platform at any time.

 

19. Changes to Terms

​

ChatYourCareer may update these Terms periodically.

Updated Terms will be published on the Platform.

Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

20. Governing Law

​

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

By creating an account, booking a call, or using the Platform, you confirm that:
